Laure Mesney is on the run. Since losing the ballet and her best friend, Laure struggles to adjust to her new life after emerging from the chaos. Certain figures from her past have come back to haunt her, and, on top of finding a new identity, her body is host to a primeval entity with plans of its own, featuring her at the helm. As a frenetic Acheron grows more demanding of its chosen, Laure, Andor, and Keturah begin to notice that Elysium is shrinking, dying, and Lethe’s influence is spilling into the streets like a blight.

But Laure isn’t the only of Elysium’s beasts to rise from the ruins of Palais Garnier, and while she’s warring between her wants and Acheron’s appetite, her circle of monsters is left to figure out: how do you save yourself from oblivion?
