DO YOU BUY USED GAMES OR BOOKS?

Unfortunately, we are not able to do that, but we do allow customers to consign used  (or new) games!

 

HOW DO I CONSIGN MY GAMES AT DUNGEON’S GATE?

You can bring in up to 3* games at a time to consign at Dungeon’s Gate. You set the price and include information on condition, components, allergens, etc. When your game sells, you get 100% in store credit.

Dungeon’s Gate may require that your game be picked up if it remains unsold for 90 days, or at our discretion. An item not picked up after 30 days of notification will become the property of Dungeon’s Gate. You may not resubmit an old item for at least 60 days after it was returned.

*3=3 literal boxes. Expansions/Add-Ons, whether bundled together with the base game or otherwise, will each count as one (1) game. Thanks for helping us maximize the available consignment space for all who wish to use it!

Yes! We buy Magic singles. Those are the Only singles we buy.

 

DO YOU HAVE A MAGIC SINGLES BUY LIST?

Unfortunately, we do not.

 

What is your magic singles buying policy? 

We may buy Magic the Gathering cards for both store credit and/or cash, at our discretion. We base our prices on a review of various sources. As a general rule, we will buy for 60% of a card’s value if store credit, 40% if cash.

Note: Magic singles sales/evaluations are subject to availability of our staff. Feel free to call or message ahead to ensure that staff assigned to Magic card valuation are available!

Yes! We sell Magic singles. Those are the Only singles we sell.

 

can i look through your binder?

Yes, in a virtual sense. You can look for & buy Magic Singles from the comfort of your home, on your phone from anywhere, or from our dedicated tablet in the store.  All of our singles are onsite and immediately available upon placing your order. Don’t want to pay online? Prefer to use cash? Just choose “Pay at Pickup” when you checkout online. 

 

do you sell bulk magic? 

We maintain a large card box of dollar singles. The dollar box is available for folks to look through at the high-top table in the store. 

 

can i drop in & play at a table during d&d at the gate on sunday nights? can i bring my existing table in to play during d&d at the gate on sunday nights?

Unfortunately, no. D&D at The Gate is a weekly store-organized event with ongoing campaigns run for the store. We do occasionally host one-shot campaigns. When these are planned, we post about it on our Discord, website, and socials.

We host a free monthly Learn to Play session for our RPG of the Month, as well as occasional Learn to Play D&D sessions, Learn to DM sessions, and the like. These events have sign-ups, which will be posted on our Discord, website, and socials.

 

can i reserve YOUR large, open game space?

Unfortunately, no. We use our large, open game space and its four tables throughout the day and night for events–sometimes 5 events in a day!

In general, our game space is available for Open Gaming Tuesday through Friday from 12-5 (subject to other, very occasional events).   

 

can i reserve your private room?

Yes! We call it the RPG Room (but you can play whatever games you like). Our RPG Room is available for reservation for up to four hours for free: Tuesday through Friday 1-5, occasional Friday nights from 6-10, occasional Saturday afternoons from 2-6, and occasional Saturday nights from 6-10. These dates/times are subject to availability, as we often use it to accommodate our many events. If you would like to inquire about reserving a time, please call the store or message us on Discord or socials.

Note: we do not generally allow folks to reserve the RPG Room on an ongoing, weekly basis, as it is offered for free and we hope to keep it available to a wide group of folks. Thanks for understanding!

 

how many players will fit in your private room?

Six players is recommended, perhaps up to 8.

 

can you special order a game, RPG, Book, etc. for me?

Yes! Subject to availability, we can order the Game, RPG, or Book (ALL genres) you’re looking for. We will ask for your contact information so that we may text once your request arrives. 

 

Do i need to prepay for special orders?

Generally speaking, we do not require prepayment unless the item is not one we would normally stock and/or is rare or exceedingly expensive. 

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR A Special order TO ARRIVE?

If the Game, RPG, or Book you are looking for is available from our myriad distributors, it usually takes about a week to get it in–sometimes less, sometimes more.
